Fernandes : paid for my learnt lesson


IT has cost Tony Fernandes £50million to discover what many of us could have told him for nothing.
That beneath its glossy exterior and marketing hype, the Premier League is a murky world full of money-grabbing mercenaries and unscrupulous characters who will do almost absolutely anything to make a fast buck.

It has been a painful and expensive lesson for the QPR chairman, who saw his club relegated last Sunday. As he sifts through the wreckage of Rangers’ spectacular crash, the Air Asia tycoon admits he has been shocked by what he has seen during his two seasons at the controls at Loftus Road.

Fernandes said: “I’ve seen all the parts that make football quite immoral.
