Top 10 Premier League flop transfer of the season

MANCHESTER UNITED’S sensational £22million swoop for Robin van Persie played a massive role in taking the Premier League title back to Old Trafford.

But other clubs have been less successful in their dealings — with Manchester City’s bid to defend their crown undermined by some shoddy signings.
And big-spenders QPR failed to avoid the plunge despite splashing the cash on a raft of new players.
Here SunSport has picked out 10 transfer flops of this season, who set back their clubs over £70million on fees alone.

1. Christopher Samba — Anzhi to QPR (£12.5m)

2. Javi Garcia — Benfica to Man City (£16m)

 3. Joe Allen — Swansea to Liverpool (£15m)

 4. Marko Marin — Werder Bremen to Chelsea (£6m)

5. Danny Graham — Swansea to Sunderland (£5m)

6. Esteban Granero — Real Madrid to QPR (£9m)

 7. Emmanuel Adebayor — Man City to Tottenham (£5m)

8. Alou Diarra — Marseille to West Ham (£2m)

9. Scott Sinclair — Swansea to Man City (£6m)

10. Maicon — Inter Milan to Man City (£3m)
