Brendan Rodgers to sign four more players to compete
BRENDAN RODGERS wants four summer signings to boost his bid to bring Champions League football back to Liverpool.
The five-times kings of Europe have not played in the continent’s top competition since 2010.
Boss Rodgers explained: “We have a small squad, so the key for us is to bring in three or four quality players that can add to the group, and keep us moving forward. We want to evolve. We are trying to improve.”

Rafal Banitez and RVP lands award
Chelsea boss Rafael Benitez and Manchester United striker Robin van Persie have been named the Barclays Manager and Player of the Month for April.
Benitez, interim boss at Stamford Bridge, is the first Chelsea manager to win the award since Carlo Ancelotti in April 2011 after he oversaw an unbeaten month with three wins from four games.
The results have been enough to lift Chelsea into third place with four games remaining, but despite being in pole position to win UEFA Champions League football for the club, his popularity with fans remains well below 100 per cent.
Roberto Mancini hints at Sinclair exit
: Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has hinted that winger Scott Sinclair's future could lie away from the Etihad Stadium.
The 24-year-old has started just three games for City since his £6.2million move from Swansea last August.
Sinclair has been linked with a return to Swansea ahead of City's Barclays Premier League trip to the Liberty Stadium this weekend.
Mancini accepts he has not given the Great Britain Olympic player much opportunity and could understand if he was frustrated.
Mancini said: "This situation with Sinclair is difficult because I didn't give him a lot of chances to play. He is very unlucky.
Fergie not planning big spree
Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson believes he only has to make minor changes to his squad after regaining the Premier League title.
United secured the league crown with four games remaining this season as big-spending rivals Manchester City, Chelsea and Tottenham all failed to maintain their push for top spot.
United chief executive Ed Woodward admitted earlier this week that there was no need for a "major retooling" of the club and Ferguson has echoed this view.
"Tweaking is the right word, we will look at one or two bodies," said Ferguson.

Arsene Wenger has indicated that he wants to stay at Arsenal, despite reported interest from Paris Saint-Germain.
on Tuesday, the Frenchman has no plans to be lured by the money from his native country, with Carlo Ancelotti reportedly on his way out of Paris.
Wenger was vocal in his intention to stay the Emirates Stadium, speaking of his "loyalty" to the club, with
Arsenal pushing for Champions League qualification with three games remanining.
"I want to stay if I do well, if the club consider I do well," the Gunners boss told a press conference.

Goalkeeper Michel Vorm happy to stay at Swansea

The Dutch international moved from Swansea to Utrecht for £1.5m in August 2011.
Vorm, who signed a new four year contract in September, has been linked with Barcelona, Arsenal and Liverpool.
"You never know in football, but I see myself playing here next season," Vorm said.

Tottenham Hospur player Gareth Bale has been named the Football Writers' Association Footballer of the years. Thr 23 year old Wales international adds the writers' prize to the PFA player of the year and young player of the year award he won last week.
Bale has scored 19 goals in 29 Premier Leagues appearances this season. Manchester united's Robin van Persie ''winner last year with Arsenal'', was the second and Chelsea Juan Mata made the third spot.
